Chandrakanta press conference at Grand Maratha!

Chandrakanta was biggest grosser in 90's, Doordarshan’s super duper hit show  is comeback on silver screen with a fresh story. Those who are tired of watching typical Saas-Bahu drama, get ready for a stopover into the world of Magic, Love, betrayal, magic, politics, spying. Chandrakanta, left the country glued to television in mid 90s.

Well known ariter "Devaki Nandan Khatri, had written two novels, ‘Chandrakanta’ and 'Chandrakanta Santati - The next generation'.

The second season of popular show is based on second novel; it will be about the love story of Shiv Dutt’s daughter Kishori and Chandrakanta’s son Indrajeet.

The legendary show is coming back on Sahara One. The role of Chandrakanta is donned by beautiful Shikha Swarop and Santosh Shukla as Virendra Singh.

Chandrakanta will go on air at Sahara One from 6th June 2011 at 8 PM & 10 PM everyday Monday to Friday.

Yesterday there was a press conference at Grand Maratha, Mumbai, Gorgeous Shikha Swaroop as Chandrakanta and Handsome royal hunk Santosh Shukla as Raja Virendra Singh walked in their complete grand attires in the middle of puffs of smoke. Director Sunil Agnihotri, Mamik, Vindu Dara Singh, Rajendra Gupta, Kruttika Desai, Sonia Rakkar, Shiva, Shailendra Singh, Rahul, Saahil, Shital Shah, Divya Dwivedi, Suresh Mishra(CEO of Sahara One) and Boney Kapoor joined them on stage.
